Glass Bottom Boat Goat Island Marine Reserve Ph: 09 422 6334 | Come and see the underwater world on our Glass Bottom Boat. We are operating at the world renowned Goat Island Marine Reserve, only 1 hours drive North from Auckland. We run trips through the year, weather permitting. Our most popular trip is the 45 minute "Round the Island" trip which takes you to the big caves. Our 30 minute "Inner Reef" trip is good substitute if the conditions don't allow us to go around the island . All our trips have full commentary and are fun and educational for all ages. To avoid disappointment, please call and check weather and sea conditions before leaving your base. |

Mahurangi Regional Park | This park protects several bays and coastal features about the mouth of the historic Mahurangi Harbour, and occupies parts of three peninsulas. Mahurangi West Regional Park begins across the Puhoi River, north of Wenderholm, and extends along Te Muri Beach to Sullivan Bay and Meter Bay - accessible only off State Highway 1 (north of Wenderholm) via the Pukapuka Mahurangi West Road. It is farmed but feel free to wander. Campsites are available. Scott's Landing is on the East Mahurangi Road, off State Highway 1 at Warkworth, and includes the historic Scott Homestead. Mahurangi East is accessible only by boat. A major volunteer re-vegetation programme is underway on this beautiful peninsula. |
